Moisture mapping in California
Moisture mapping looks for hidden damp in walls, floors, and ceilings, so you know where the water went before anything is opened up.
When people ask
- After a leak, flood, or plumbing failure
- A musty smell with no visible source
- Before repairs, to see how far the water spread
The credential
California doesn't issue a state license for moisture mapping, so ask your partner what training they hold. We confirm credentials during vetting before a partner goes Active.
We match the request. The partner decides which areas to map and which meters or cameras to use, and they write the report.
A moisture map shows where it's wet, not whether mold is present. If mold is the question, see Mold testing.
